DUNGEON DASH
Dungeon Dash is a casual dungeon romp. Sort of Dinner Dash meets
Diablo. It's not done yet, but I'm making incomplete (but
playable) versions of it available for anybody who'd like to try it
out.
You can download the latest version here.
NEWS:
February 17, 2007 - Completely changed the scoring method so that
combos aren't as overwhelmingly important. There's now a level 11
AND 12, but they're still extra extra hard. Trying a level that's
not in yet will pop up a message instead of crashing the game.
February 11, 2007 - New version up. Still only 11 levels
available (trying to play the 12th will crash the game). I made
the "level select" screen look nicer, and I made the tutorial
easier. Still no way to save your game. Oh, and I've got
the difficulty of that 11th level cranked WAY up. That is NOT the
difficulty I want the first post-tutorial level at.
January 14, 2007 - Taking a break from the "big" game I'm working on to
make something simpler. It's far enough along that you can play
the tutorial, and one extra level (11 levels total). A lot of
stuff is just temp. Here are some specific things to keep in mind:
- The pop-ups text boxes before each level will be replaced by
something more aesthetically pleasing. I have some plans...
- The level select screen will look like a map, and as you complete
dungeons (each of which will be 5-10 levels), more of the map will
appear. For instance, the first ten levels of this demo would be
a dungeon, then the map would lead you to a new one (of which, right
now, only one level exists).
- Right now, hitting the "Esc" key on your keyboard ends the
game. Obviously, that will be fixed...
- You'll be able to, between levels, spend the gold you've earned
on new spells and equipment (like, pieces of armor that will reduce the
damage done by monsters).
Other than those things (the last of which is the biggie), this is
basically how the game will play.
